In Loving Memory Of...

Anthony, 6, Austin, 4, and Athena, 2

"Amy and her family would like to express their sincere gratitude to everyone

who has poured out their love and support during this difficult time."

This website was created in memory of three precious children, Anthony, Austin and Athena Castillo.  The children died Saturday, March 29, 2008 and their father has confessed to drowning them in a hotel bathtub.

This website was also created to honor and help the children's mother, Amy Ward Castillo, who fought hard to keep her little ones safe.  The site was created by several of us who know and love Amy dearly and know what she has been going through over the past two years.

Many have learned in the press that the father is allegedly mentally ill, possibly with bipolar disorder.  Over the past two years the family's finances have been run into the ground.  Those who are familiar with this illness, know that during a manic phase, someone who is bipolar can financially ruin their family in a very short period of time.  Amy also had enormous legal bills fighting for custody of her children.  The past two years have been financially draining and Amy was fearful of losing her home.

Many who visit this site know Amy well and know she would never ask for help, which is precisely why we decided to start this fund.  The fund was started to help ease the financial burden she has been suffering even before the loss of her children and the unbearable task of having to bury them.

It is our sincere and great hope that we raise enough money to cover the funeral expenses as well as money for Amy to use for mortgage/bills/etc. while she is recovering.

We appreciate you visiting this website and please keep Amy and her family in your thoughts and prayers.  Amy has been overwhelmed by the kindness of so many during this devastating tragedy.
